Reddy, As has been pointed out a user has a password and can therefore login/logon to the DBMS and issue SQL requests. A database does not have a password and therefore cannot logon and issue sql requests. Just to make it clear, this is the ONLY difference between a user and adatabase. They can both have space limits, they can both have tables, views, macros etc etc owned by them, you can grant and revoke accessrights to both of them.
