Hi,

you asked for "not having tons of views".

Its easy to implement a solution with a (1: 2,5) ratio.

Example:

1.) Have a DB with the current data - NO ONE (besides you) has access to this DB.

2.) Create a View-DB on this DB which shows all data, as it should look like.

3.) Create a View-DB on the View DB on department or security demands.

One maintenance layer and one access layer makes it easy !!!
