This is a straight SQL and yes, i collected statistics on the tables and columns. We conducted the test via two methods. Method 1: Run the query via queryman and calculate the DBMS time from queryman. Repeated the queries. The same query was run from SQL Server Query Analyzer (with return result set turned off) and the execution times captured via profiler. The queries were repeated Method 2: Created C# script that takes DSN, Database Name, Query, Threads, Loops as inputs and outputs the time to return first row of output and the last row of output. We ran this program against Teradata and SQL Server from two different client computers. And we got similar results. The execution time results indicate better number for SQL Server.Does anyone see any obvious mistake in my tests? Or did I miss something. Thanks Bhupesh Singu
