Hello Every one,

We wrote a stored procedure that uses a cursor to fill in numbers between two other numbers, for example From 1 to 6 ->

1, DATA
2, DATA
3, DATA
4, DATA
5, DATA
6, DATA

When using the cursor after a few hunderd thousand records the process slows down due to very large journal activity.

MY questions are:

1. Is there a way to insert all the records with out writing the tranactions to the journal?

2. Does any one have an Idea on how to do this with one SQL statment (or two as long as it is pure SQL)?

the table has the following fields:

Index_Col
From_Number
To_Number

And I want to Create a table that has these fields:

Index_Col
Replica_No
From_Number
To_Number
Between_Number
