We are trying to reduce the clock time needed for loads across an ESCON connection from an S390 system.

We are considering breaking up the FastLoad tasks to allow more concurrent jobs Our MaxLoadTask parameter is currently set at 6 and we are considering 10. The parameter allow from 0 -15 concurrent jobs. Has anyone experience detrimental results from setting this number in the higher range? What process should I monitor during testing for negative impact?

We have asked users to limit the sessions per job to 20 on an 80 AMP system. Would allowing a full 80 sessions reduce load clock time? Would this be a better alternative than changing the MaxLoadTask parameter?
