I have a name and address table I need to match to our billing system. Does anyone have a proven match strategy to match name/address info? I was going to use zip code in conjunction with the INDEX function to scan the 1st several bytes of the customer name & address on our billing system.

I figured there had to be a more scientific approach and was wondering what others have used with success.

I have the following fields to work with on both tables:

first name, last name, address1, address2, city, state, zip
