Subj:   Re: An SQL PrettyPrinter???

From:   Frank C. Martinez IV

Hello Dieter (and everyone),

Aiii, guess I messed up on the title stuff! No wonder that section of the macro wouldn't work. It takes more than one pair of eyes sometimes. Anyway, I've tried multistatement requests from Queryman (using the multiple little feet), who's help text says, "Execute the entire query as a single request, without modification" and a lot of times it doesn't like the syntax anymore (syntax that I might point out BTEQ or inTERAgate doesn't seem to mind). So I'll try that again.

But this gets back to my original question. Has anyone else had to analyse complex SQL from another source (say from inside a reporting tool) and found it too dense, so they reformatted it to see what is was doing? What tools did you use to assist you in that? Or is this a case of the cobbler's children don't have any shoes. Speaking of which, I have this poem I wrote... Nevermind!

iv

PS: Thanks Dieter & Geoffrey!
