Well, we already have SAS for our analytical applications, and it's doing a good job on that field. We also are using queryman for regular queries and reporting, but, our model is highly normalized, so our users need to write huge sql to get attributes from different tables. We have some views to mask the amount of tables but that's generating other problems. Following your analogy, my case is more like the guy trying to buy the right hammer amongst several options. The tool that we're looking for, is just for reporting and Ad hoc queries. Almost all of them have the same features regarding security, ad hoc queries, olap functionality, multi tier architecture, web deployment, etc. However, there must be a tool which is doing a better job working with Teradata, using its features: derived/temporary tables, statistical functions, etc. I'm wondering what that tool is? We know some ETL tools are doing a better job integrating their functionality with the Teradata Utilities, so I assume there must be a query tool that is doing a better job with Teradata SQL functionality. I'm testing Microstrategy now and it looks fine, it has several Teradata exclusive options, that's the type of "special features" that we're looking for. Regards. Jose
