I thought this issue had been addressed in this forum before. At one point, I understood compression was lost on spool files but I
thought someone had described the process as maintaining compression in spool. The explanation was that the table header (or row header)
maintained the bit that described the compression value. If this is not true, you do have to consider the impact of decompression on the
query.
Doe anyone know the definite answer to this question?
