The manual also has this to say ...
Warning: Although there is no RDBMS-imposed limitation on the number of concurrent TPump jobs, an excessive number of small jobs causes
contention on the TDAT DBS system catalogue. The limit will vary from one installation to-another, and each installation should determine
its own capacity for running a multiplicity of TPump jobs to avoid potential deadlocks.
