If you're running this query from Queryman or any other ODBC application then I think you'll find it's because of the odbc driver. As a
check can you run the same query from Bteq?
I don't remember all the details but there are/were some issues with dec(18) columns being accessed from an ODBC application. You could
check the archives to this discussion group to find the details.
