I need to update around 2500 rows, in a single shot from VB through ODBC(sent as calls to Upsert Macros). One option I am investigating is using MultiStatements (i.e. putting each statement in a new line beginning with a semicolon). However, when I tried to execute with or without the semicolon, there didnt seem to be any performance difference. How can I ascertain that the query will be executed in parallel? Is there any limitation (a) in the number of statements? (b) length of string that the ODBC connection can handle. What are your suggestions regarding obtaining optimum performance? Thanks in Advance! Santosh
