Al, TDQM is valuable, it's just a different way of attacking workload restrictions. For instance, at my client we have actively managed workload through priority levels and spool allocation. While limiting spool stops a "run away" query at a certain impact level, the problem is that it still used the cpu cycles to get to that point. TDQM attacks the issue by not letting the query run in the first place, hence no concurrent impact on resources. Regards, Dave David W. Roth
