 Claybourne, If you're talking about a full-table scan (FTS) the existence of si's of any sort is irrelevant. By definition, an FTS doesn't use an
index, it simply scans the data. As has been pointed out, the SI rows are in physically different blocks on disk and so are not referenced
during an FTS operation.
