Hi all, I have a question on session handling and teradata handling queries in parallel. Suppose i have a machine configured with 2 PEs and 4 AMPs. Now i have 4 bteq scripts which contain sql statements. Now we know that each PE is capable of handling 120 sessions. With this what happens when: 1. I fire all the 4 bteq scripts together in parallel(4 sessions). Will the PEs share the load or will it go to a single PE(because a single PE can handle upto 120 sessions) with the other PE remaining idle. 2. Will the performance(or the time taken) to execute all the 4 bteq scripts be less with both the PEs in action when compared to a single PE handling all the 4 bteq scripts. Thanks Narayan Murthy.
