Hi Imad,

Pretty good overview. Yes, the hooks for ADO.NET to SQL Server are quite nice.

Today I got the Teradata 3.0 ODBC driver. Still cannot connect over the ODBC.NET managed provider. I get

"ERROR [28000] [NCR][ODBC Teradata Driver]
Not enough information to log on"

from code like this:

Dim objConnect As New OdbcConnection
("DRIVER=Teradata;DSN=EvaP;UID=bobdoss;PWD=mypwd;")
objConnect.Open()

My uneducated guess is that ODBC.NET is trying to use a connection pool and the logon credentials are not getting passed.

Anyone got this to work yet? Anyone using Teradata ODBC connection pools? If so how do you know if they are set up and working? Do you have a little initialization app?

Cheers,

Bob
