Subj:   Paper available in the TeradataForum Library

From:   John Hall

Geoffrey Rommel has graciously made available an interesting paper ("Tips for Writing an INMOD in Cobol") and I put it in the Library Section of the TeradataForum

If you have a paper that you would like to have in the Library to be shared with others, please e-mail it directly to me (not to the TDATA-L List).

Like the Forum, the paper should be of general interest to a technically oriented Teradata audience and should avoid marketing/glossy/vapourware type stuff. Understand that I'm not adverse to mentioning products, it's really that there should be a technical focus. For example:

- How to take advantage of the various OLTP features

- Best practices for using the Priority Scheduler

- Implementing chargeback

- Improving reliability and minimizing outages

- Improving performance

- Sizing issues

- Improving system administration skills

If you have any suggestions or comments, please feel free to speak-up.

John
