John's correct, in an MPP environment there is always data in cache up on the nodes (SMP does not do this). Thus the only way to flush
them at the moment is to stop the Teradata instance. The other main point to realise is that ALL changes in the disk would be identified as
changed, e.g. any spool generated and written to the disk will be 'timefindered' and that could be 25-30% of your disks.
