Subj: | | Size of Crashdumps |
|
From: | | Geoffrey Rommel |
The Database Administration manual states:
As a general rule, DBC.Crashdumps should have enough permanent space to accommodate three, or at least two, PDE dumps. NCR recommends
that the MAXPERM for DBC.Crashdumps be large enough to hold three crashdumps.
Dump size is approximately 100 MB per node. It is usually safe to use this for your requirement calculations, although actual dump size
varies depending on the number of applications and vprocs running at the time of the crash.
Is 100 MB per node really enough?
