Hi all Any ideas / comments on this: - x tables exist in a Teradata database - they are 'linked' in an MS Access database - some of them allow inserts and updates (both to key columns and non-key columns) - some (at least 1) does not allow updates (both to key columns and non-key columns), giving: 'This record has been changed by another user since you started editing it. If you save the record, you will overwrite the changes the other user made' (the 'save' option is not allowed) I *can* effect such an update from say QueryManager (so therefore I don't see any Teradata locking issues) Other than suspicions about the ODBC driver (2.09.00.00), I don't have an answer. Many thanks Mike Philips
