Hi,

A DBA once showed me a quick was to move space around. (using you above example )

Create database somespace from A as perm = 10e9;
Give somespace to C;
drop database somespace;

and this will allocate another 10e9 of diskspace to C from the database A without having to involve Database 'B.

This also allows you to move space from totally unrelated databases.
