Hi Rita:

Sorry if my reply confused you. Let me try a different approach:

1. Teradata does support stored procedures

2. I know you needed a stored procedure because of your IF and END IF combination statement.

3. I do not have documentation handy, so this is a best recall possible: I do not think you can execute a macro from within a trigger - reason a trigger is a transaction and macros are transactions. You cannot begin a transaction within a trigger.
