OLE-DB Provider is currently available and does not require ODBC. We use it in a production environment at one customer to feed their
Teradata system extracting data from SQL Server and Oracle on a daily basis and feeding it to Fastload on NT Directly to Teradata. Robert is
right when he says there is currently not an OLE-DB Consumer interface to Teradata - i.e. using OLE-DB to use Teradata as the source with
out ODBC. You can extract data from Teradata with ODBC and feed it to OLE-DB to another DB or to another Teradata system. And yes, it would
be nice to have both Provide and Consumer with OLE-DB and as Robert says, that is not available yet. Currently, OLE-DB Access (i.e.
consumer) is planned for release in TUF 7.0 (TUF 6.1 has just been released).
