Gary, I haven't specifically tried this, but one things that's often useful with this type of problem is to check DBC.Logonoff for the time period & userid in question. My usual take is that if there's a row in dbc.logonoff then you're logon request has got through to Teradata - if the logon failed then the column 'Event' will tekll you why. If there's no row then you haven't got through to the Teradata server and you've got a connectivity problem. This may prove useful. Cheers, Dave
