Hi Klas: Although I have no data to support my observations, here are my thoughts: 1. Having one DML and one APPLY statement means - Less Host resources to sequence incoming records (values for 5 extra sequencing columns for restart can be seen in the Error table 1) 2. Having one APPLY means - Less Host resources to "branch" to DML logic in the second DML statement Over millions of rows, this extra processing time can add up. Remember, it has nothing to do with the time to complete Teradata's processing time. It is entirely on the Host computer that is running the MLOAD. Regards, Mike
