Have a problem with connecting to Teradata via BTEQ, Fastload or any utility except Winddi. System had a power failure and upon restore, found that can only connect via Winddi or any ODBC source. BTEQ and the other command line utilities fail and respond with

*** Warning: RDBMS CRASHED OR SESSIONS RESET. RECOVERY IN PROGRESS>

No recovery happens.

JDBC connectivity will not connect either, yet the ports show as open and operational.

Database shows as up and operational and am able to retrieve data.

Any ideas as to the problems?

BTW, go gentle, absolute Teradata novice here.
