Subj:   Re: Installing NT v2r4 on a laptop

From:   James Judge

haven't tried the latest version install; but even with 3.0 TNT the installer failed if you didn't have recognized disk array storage. Anyway, assuming R4 installer will work the same, I had to create my own vconfig.txt file to slice a raw partition on my C drive for use by the VPROCS. Once I had that file created I ran the install program and just terminated after the error occurred. I then ran the sysinit and DIP processes after rebooting and TNT had started successfully. I can send you the steps I took (and a sample vconfig.txt file) , but first let me check to see if someone has installed the latest R4 on a laptop (i.e. non-standard TNT disk configuration).
