We have used Priority Scheduler for more than 5 years to run our batch DSS on a very heavily utilized machine. We run critical jobs at $H, production at $M and users at $L. This has allowed us to keep our loads current as well as allowing critical deliverables to be produced in a timely manner. The only negative is keeping track of all the IDs as people move organizations or leave the company. This is the time consuming part of the process.

The functioning of the Priority Scheduler has been flawless. The same priority scheduler is used to schedule all the Teradata internal processes.....I see no reason why it can't schedule OLTP processing too.
