I have been asked to put together what are considered to be the main roles / responsibilities of a good Teradata DBA . As I have had
limited exposure to the workings of the DBA I would appreciate your opinions . I understand that the DBA role for a Teradata box is less
demanding than for some other platforms thanks to postings previously on the list but it is not a comparison of what is involved on Teradata
as opposed to other systems which I need . I am more interested in what a competent proactive DBA could and should do for a Teradata
system within their responsibility on a day to day , week to week basis .
