On thing I have found is that if you have a column which has very few values and it is used in the join criteria you need statistics on it. Even if the column is not an index. Eric is correct the more statistics the better. Review the explains to see if you can spot a problem table or spool that redistributes on a column with few values. Like Eric says, you may be able to change a primary index(not key) and improve performance. Roland Thomas
