Hi,

We have a WareHouse in Teradata V2R3 with 10 nodes, 104 Amps and 20 PE, memory = 14 Gb .

Daily the machine have periods of saturation. The queries are not very good, because the final users can build they own queries, we implemented a series of alerts trought the Teradata Manager but we don't know the threeholds for CPU and I/O usage. We also limit the spool per user.

The question is, do you know a way to prevent the saturation or hot amp situation? Can you tell me a way to set these threeholds? Is normal this situation, there anybody who has experimented this problem?
