I want to maintain a focus on Teradata related issues on the TDATA-L list and would prefer that more general and 'friendly' notes weren't
distributed to the list.
There are a couple of specific reasons for this:
1) Most of the members of this list are busy people who work with Teradata and when their time is taken by TDATA-L mail, then
it should be related to Teradata - it's the specific purpose of this list.
2) We have members on this list from more than 25 countries - things like jokes don't translate very well and can frequently
end-up as the cause of hurt feelings.
Once again, thanks to all of you for joining this list and I hope that you are finding it useful and that it meets your needs.
