You may have what is commonly referred to as a 'ghost session'. Basically Teradata thinks the session is still there but in reality is
not. The only way we have ever been able to get rid of it was by taking a restart on our Teradata system. You may also want to try
releasing the lock on the table first by 'release lock on dbname.tablename, all, overide; This may take care of the lock on the system; if
not then you will need to force a restart on your Teradata system.
