Subj:   Testing Teradata for Y2K

From:   Kenneth Stiglich

I would like to know if anyone have tested his Teradata Machine for the Y2K problem, and what was the results?

I work for a Bank and we have Mainframes, NT Servers, Unix Servers.. And all these machines has been tested to be 2K compliant, the only machine that we didn't test is the Teradata NCR 4700.

I know that there are a lot of risks to test the machine increasing the date to a Y2K date, because some SW licenses will revoke and something will change your data, so you need to archive all your database and unix nodes, then make the test and we must reload all the machine with the initial configuration when the test is finished.

Should I expect surprises? I would like to hear your experiences.
