Does anyone know how to change the default character set on Teradata? We ugraded to V2R3 this past weekend, and now our character set
for all of our character fields is set to latin.
Our fastloads and multiloads are failing if we either don't load all of the fields, or if we try to assign a constant value to a field.
The workaround we have found is to modify all of the table definitions as such:
field1 char(1) character set unicode not null
We have 2,569 tables and this is a massive undertaking for an upgrade that we were told would not have that much of an impact to
our system.
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!!
