I received a message from one of our members saying that they were having problems in sending email to the list. I'm sending this to the list because there might be others who are having the same problem. When he sent a note to the list, he got the following error: -------------------------------------------------------------- To make it more difficult for spammers, only members of our list can send to it. If the LISTSERV doesn't recognize you as a member, you will get an error message like the one above. Generally when members get this message, it's because you signed-up under one service and are trying to send a posting from another service OR you signed-up using an alias and your server actually uses a different email address for you OR your mail server was renamed after you had signed-up. A good indication of these conditions is that you will continue to receive postings, but you can't do a post yourself. The quickest and probably easiest fix for this is to sign-up again from the account that you regularly use. If you find yourself in this situation and re-subscribing fixes the problem, would you send me a note ? Please send the note from your working account. That way, I can delete the account that isn't working (otherwise you will probably get two copies of each posting). If you are experiencing any other problem, please let me know at the email address above and I'll try to get it worked-out as quickly as I can.
