Subj:   Insufficient memory to parse during Query Rewrite

From:   JAMES PARK

TD 13 on Windows XP.

A user reported this problem.

"I have been running a query in BOBJ. We continually are getting the following error. Insufficient memory to parse this request during Query Rewrite phase Checking this on the web, it says the DBS Control Record field "MaxParseTreeSegs" should be set to the maximum (3000)."

My questions are,

1. Is increasing MaxParseTreeSegs one of the ways to troubleshoot this issue?

2. The default value is 2000. I heard that the upper limit is 3000. What is the maximum value for this parameter?

3. What is the command to change the value from 2000 to 3000 in DBSCONTROL? It's similar to 'MOD PERFORMANCE 4 = 3000;' but I am not sure.

Thank you,
