The observations you have made seem to contradict our expectations of partition elimination being improved in the latest releases compared to
earlier releases, where partition elimination was rather limited (understandably so: partitioning was a brand new feature at the time).
I do not know what to comment yet but I noticed something I'd like you to comment on first.
The R6 explain contains this line:
dw.transaction.Post_Date = DWE_DATE"
The DDL you included in your posting does not mention the DWE_DATE. I wonder where the difference in the names comes from. Could you
please check whether all the relevant information is included and it is correct?
