Subj:   Re: Error in Ab Initio MultiLoad component

From:   Victor Sokovin

Chuck,

-1072072573 sort of looks like a windows native error code. In hex, C0197883. Are you on Windows?

I hope Windows is not involved anywhere in the chain. AI runs on the HP-UX machine. I agree that the code range is rather exotic and I hoped that it could mean something by itself, if the exact error code does not say much.

Could you give some more context? Is there an error message produced? What is it? What platform are you running on?

The context is an ML insert using the AI ML component with the Named Pipe Access Module. The exact error message:

"------ Error from Insert_Table.TARGET_TABLE__table_Etload.000 on <IP_address> ------
load process returned (possibly with error code -1072072573) and had some undetermined problem (maybe OS?)"

As I see it, I pretty much reproduced it in the original message. I had a chance to run the same code on another machine where the access module was not installed and everything worked fine so the module is a suspect but the configuration of the two machines is slightly different.

Which component reports the error? Is it coming from the Ab Initio component? The named pipe access module? The multiload utility?

I wish I knew exactly. I looks to me like an AI message but I'll leave the judgement to you.

Thanks for the reaction so far.

Regards,

Victor
