Subj:   Default database name in bteq

From:   Karen Gebhard

I know you can user the database command to set the default database in a bteq script. But here's our problem: we have all 3 environments on one box thus we have 3 sets of database names and 3 sets of scripts. Is there anyway I can wildcard part of a databasename inside these scripts??

The database names for example are:

Production: first_core, first_lookup, etc.

Sustainment: sustainment_core, sustainment_lookup, etc.

What I'm looking to do is be able to switch the first part of the dbname depending on which environment I'm running in therefore only having to save one copy of each script.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Karen Gebhard
