Subj:   Re: Long Logon times via CLIv2

From:   Dieter Nth

Let me see if I have this right? My machine is kmdb with 2 nodes so I logon

  .logon kmdb/username,password

Do I set up a system variable kmdb=2?

yep

Do I put this in my .profile?

Any place, where you can set an environment variable (and don't forget to export it)

In Mike McIntire's response, there was mention of the order of the cop entries. My Unix nodes are ont0mb and ont0mc. Would it be best to have kmdbcop1 & kmdbcop2 right behind the IPs?

I don't know how Mike got that result. AFAIK, there's supposed to be no difference...

#KMDB ORLD - NCR 4855 TERADATA DATABASE M BOX (SYSTEM TEST)
   135.71.136.26 ont0mb mcop1 kmdbcop1 kmcop1 KMDBCOP1 MCOP1
   135.71.136.27 ont0mc mcop2 kmdbcop2 kmcop2 KMDBCOP2 MCOP2

And don't forget to set the values for m and km, to0 ;-))

Dieter
