One extra note on this, if I remember right NT 4.0 boxes don't cache negative acknowledgements from DNS lookups, while Windows 2000 and XP boxes do.

This means that looking up a non-existant cop name on Win 2k will be slow only the first time, but on NT 4 it is slow every time you try it.

This would be expecially bad if one of your configured DNS servers isn't replying, as the time-out would be between 6 and 30 seconds.

Anyway, it is long past time to retire NT 4.0 boxes.
