Subj:   How to increase the Max data block size

From:   Bakthavachalam, Roopalini

Forum - I have a requirement to load tables with XML data which are having record length greater than 64KB. I understand the default is 64KB. Is there any way, I can increase the max data block size in the database. What are the implications? We are currently on 14.10 and planning to upgrade to 15.00. Please let me know. The PermDBSize = 254 (Sectors) in dbscontrol.

Another question ? How do I load XML data from SQL server to Teradata? I tried using Oleload tool, however only load using bteq seems to support loading XML data. I don't think fload and mload supports. Does TPT support?

Are there any other means to get the XML data from SQL to Teradata?

Thanks

Roopalini
