Subj:   Cron job for running checktable

From:   JAMES PARK

Suse 11.

I have a cron job to run checktable.

1. Do I need these two lines in the job?

     SHELL=/bin/sh
     PATH=/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/lib/news/bin

2.

     cnsrun file is in /opt/teradata/tdat/pde/14.00.07.11/bin
     Command file is in /var/opt/teradata/dba/checktab Log will be created in
     /var/opt/teradata/dba

This cron job doesn't seem to run. I wonder what goes wrong.

     #
     #
     SHELL=/bin/sh
     PATH=/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/lib/news/bin
     #
     #

     40 15 * * 2  /opt/teradata/tdat/pde/14.00.07.11/bin/cnsrun -utility checktable -multi -
     file /var/opt/teradata/dba/checktab > /var/opt/teradata/dba/cnsrun_'date +\%y\%m\%d-
     \%H:\%M'.output 2>&1

Thank you,

James
