The failure is actually due to this error:

     **** 14:37:46 UTY3403 Only one statement per line is allowed.  Extra
          characters were detected beginning in column '31'.

Also, you don't need the .LAYOUT/.FIELDs or .IMPORT since you are not using any of those fields as parameters in the SELECT.
