Dieter - Thanks for the clarification. I was still getting the same error. Here is the select I am using

     select
     TD_SYSFNLIB.Least(date1, date2, date3) - date4 + 1 AS AAA From
     Table1

I figured it out. I casted the date1, date2 and date3 to VARCHAR and it worked :-)
