Hi, This really depends on what type of lock is being placed on the target table. If the lock is a table-level lock then the answer is "No". If the lock is a row hash lock then the answer is "Yes". Explain the query to find the lock type. Note that the use of a view is irrelevant here. It is the type of lock that counts.
