We do have the metadata control tables for our automated stats collection, I was just using the dynamic build from the DBC table as an example. We understand the other options of doing a full table collects stats and when stats need to be refreshed - but the full table refresh it not suitable in this instance.

To clarify, I am just looking at ways to dynamically build the optimised collect stats statement as opposed to the single collect stats statements from metadata (either control table or DBC). Maybe a SP and cursor maybe my best option.
