1) I read an article of someone who recommends running Statistics on join columns and index columns and columns used in WHERE statements. Since I don't know what columns users are going to use in WHERE clauses, is it a good idea to run statistics on all columns of all tables? I am mainly concerned about queries running in PRD and QA. 2) I run two batch jobs update statistics once every two weeks. The two scripts have all Collect Statistic statements; one for DEV and the other PRD. I wonder how you update statistics regularly. We have TD 14 system. Our database servers are in Suse 11 but BAR server is on Windows XP. Thanks, James Park
