The issue is fixed :). The LD_LIBRARY_PATH was not set.

Below is what was done to fix the issue.

1) Check if the LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set

2) echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH - should give the path, if not then set the path

3) export LD_LIBRARY_PATH==/opt/teradata/client/13.10/odbc_32/lib:/opt/teradata/teragss/redhatlinux-i386/13.10.07.09/lib

4) There should be an entry like the below in the odbc.ini file ( DEV_DSN is the DSN name) Eg : DEV_DSN= tdata.so
